Infrastructure Value in India
Jun 03, 2013
GR Infrastructure has selected Evotherm warm mix asphalt technology for use on a four-lane, 44 kilometer stretch of National Highway 11 connecting Reengus to Sikar in the state of Rajasthan, India. Approximately half of the 300,000 metric ton project will be paved this year using Evotherm in the surface and binder (DBM) layers. Major benefits observed on this project for the National Highway Authority of India include:
- A 30% increase in production rate through the batch plant pug mill
- A 25% decrease in fuel usage
- Easy compaction to target density
- Improved adhesion and elimination of aggregate stripping
The contractor is pleased with the performance of Evotherm. Based on these results GR Infrastructure has expanded their use of Evotherm to additional project work throughout India.
