Ingevity employees work 1,000,000 man hours injury-free

DERIDDER, La., Nov. 6, 2017 – On Monday, Oct. 2, Ingevity employees, for the first time in the history of the DeRidder, La.-based facility, worked over 1,000,000 man hours without an injury.

“For over 800 days, every single employee in this plant has made it home, free of injury, to families and friends,” stated Danny Kyle, plant manager, Ingevity. “The formula for success is that every person can make a difference for the entire team in whatever their role. And to do it right, to get it right, is a critical factor in being successful. Every employee at the DeRidder plant can stand up and say we did everything we could to make it right. Everyone worked hard, did things the right way, and acted responsibly for ourselves and our coworkers.”
