MWV named to Dow Jones Sustainability World Index

For the 9th straight year, MWV has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index. In the last year, MWV has launched a comprehensive Sustainability Strategy for its business and released measurable targets to monitor progress toward energy efficiency, carbon emissions and water use reductions, certified fiber sourcing, beneficial reuse of waste, and supplier conduct. On this year's index, MWV increased its overall score in the Operational Eco-Efficiency, Labor Practices & Human Rights, and Social Reporting sectors. MWV maintained its high score for the social criteria based on its programs to engage stakeholders and its industry-leading Code of Conduct for employees, and also scored above its peers for environmental policies and management systems.
Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes are the first global indexes tracking the financial performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide, and captures the top 10 percent based on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria
