Don’t miss the Summer 2011 issue of Pavement Preservation Journal. It features the article Thin-Lift Warm Mix Uses RAP, Shingles about Lindsey Contractors’ experience placing 100,000 tons of Evotherm WMA on US 84 in Texas. The job took place just before the start of Behind the Screed so never was posted. Lindsey used Evotherm with a PG64-22 binder along with 15% RAP and 5% shingles. They liked how easy it was to use Evotherm at the plant and the workability it gave the mix. An added bonus was the boost of plant throughput from 200 tph of hot mix to 290 tph of WMA.
