Purification Cellutions partners with Augusta Warrior Project to assist veterans in need

WAYNESBORO, Ga., May 7, 2018 – Purification Cellutions presented a check totaling $7,500 on April 23 to Augusta Warrior Project. This donation will provide service members, veterans and their families in Aiken, Augusta and 31 surrounding counties with resources needed for housing, employment, education, benefits and healthcare. All monies donated will remain in the local area.
“Because of your generosity and belief in our mission we will be able to continue performing the vital work of mitigating crisis and connecting Warriors to resources that improve their lives,” said Joy Barr, development manager, Augusta Warrior Project. “With over 66,000 Warriors living in our local area, there are still so many that we want to reach and we are reminded daily of the vast need that exists. These warriors are depending on partners like Purification Cellutions to help us connect, especially to those in the greatest need.”
Joy continued by saying, “In 2017, we were able to assist more than 2,500 Warriors, which equals 48 lives helped every single week, and we are confident with your donation we can reach even more in 2018. Together, we are changing lives!”
In addition to financial support, Purification Cellutions employees will volunteer their time at events like the Boss Hog Cook-Off on May 11. During this event, employees will connect with local veterans to ensure they learn of the resources available to them through Augusta Warrior Project.
“After meeting with representatives from Augusta Warrior Project and learning of the services they provide to veterans in our area, we knew this was an organization we needed to support,” said Jada Humphrey, controller, Purification Cellutions. “We look forward to working with Augusta Warrior Project to bring hope, health and happiness to the brave individuals who’ve given so much in the defense and protection of our nation.”
Augusta Warrior Project provides housing assistance for homeless veterans or those at risk of homelessness; employment assistance for transitioning service members; benefits and healthcare services; education support; and collaborative services connecting veterans with the resources they need to improve their everyday lives.
