Sky’s the Limit

Stewart airport

Lisa Cleaver at Asphalt Contractor Magazine profiled the runway rehabilitation underway at Stewart International Airport in the January 2014 edition. As written by Tom Kuennen, Tutor Perini Corporation/Intercounty Paving Associates   kicked off the multi-year project in mid-2013 and will be working on both runways and several taxiways until mid-2015. The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey is expanding the airport through a $500 million capital improvement plan that incorporates 260,000 tons of asphalt.

Jointa Lime uses a portable plant to produce all of the FAA-approved P401 mix. Intercounty places PG64-22 with Evotherm on the runways -6" from top of grade and on the shoulders at the surface.
