Purification Cellutions donates over $14,000 to United Way of the CSRA, Inc.

WAYNESBORO, Ga., Dec. 21, 2016 – Purification Cellutions, a subsidiary of Ingevity Corp., presented a check totaling $14,846 on Dec. 14 to United Way of the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), Inc. This donation will help the United Way improve lives as they identify and meet the health and human service needs of the community.

“United Way of the CSRA is very grateful for the continued support and generosity provided by Purification Cellutions. This donation will meet many needs in our community through the 46 funded programs that directly impact the building blocks of a good life – education, income, and health,” said Kim Grimes, resource development manager, United Way of the CSRA, Inc.

“Purification Cellutions believes in making a real difference in the real world. Every dollar contributed to United Way makes the idea of positive change a reality for many people in this community,” said John Nichols, plant manager, Purification Cellutions.

United Way of the CSRA, Inc.’s partner agencies strengthen families through financial literacy, job readiness, and employment training by providing services that: develop opportunities to support early learning, college and career readiness; expand access to health and wellness services; and provide community support and provisions to meet basic needs. A few programs benefitting from Purification Cellutions’ donation are:

·         SafeHomes, Inc., a crisis intervention program that provides safe shelter, food, clothing and medical care to women and children along with a crisis hotline that provides victims with community resources and immediate support.

·         Boys & Girls Clubs of the CSRA, an after-school program focusing on education; career, character and leadership development; life skills; art; and recreation for underprivileged youth ages 6-18.

·         Friendship Community Center, a self-directed recovery-based program assisting adults with chronic mental illnesses re-establish and develop essential living skills.
