AltaVeg™ 1550

Lubricants

AltaVeg 1550 is a dicarboxylic acid derived from vegetable fatty acids through an Ingevity-developed process, having applications in three areas: metalworking fluids, chemical intermediates, and surfactants. As an effective four-in-one product used in metalworking fluids, AltaVeg 1550 can function as a co-emulsifier, corrosion inhibitor, lubricity additive, and wetting agent. This unique, bio-derived product enables streamlining of formulations with the four benefits of one additive.

Ingevity’s new AltaVeg vegetable oil-based product line complements the company’s existing pine chemical-based offerings and expands our product portfolio to meet broader customer needs. Our global technical team is available to help guide you and ensure you’re making the most of your formulation.
