Ingevity to present at the Society of Professional Engineers Oklahoma City Oil and Gas Symposium
PRESS RELEASE
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C., April 2, 2019 – Ingevity will participate in the 2019 SPE Oklahoma City Oil and Gas Symposium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on April 10. Ingevity’s Innovation Manager, Dr. Shadaab Maghrabi, will present his technical paper, “Design and Development of a Novel Fluid Loss Additive for Invert Emulsion Drilling Fluids from a Renewable Raw Material.”
Ingevity has developed a high-performing fluid loss additive (FLA) from renewable, pine-based chemistry that meets the demands of today’s invert emulsion drilling fluids. The technology is efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Dr. Maghrabi’s presentation will highlight this novel FLA’s performance in various fluid systems.
“Sustainable, eco-friendly chemistries are becoming more important because of market pressures and increasing global regulations,” said Dr. Thomas Sisson, Ingevity’s technical director, oilfield and lubricants. “This symposium is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of pine chemistry’s benefits in oilfield applications.”
The biennial symposium showcases the most advanced proven technologies and innovative concepts to further the development and production of oil and natural gas. More than 900 professionals attend the industry-leading forum.
