Ingevity employees donate over $25,000 to local charities
PRESS RELEASE
WICKLIFFE, Ky., June 22, 2017 – Ingevity employees presented checks over the past week totaling $25,143.00, to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Ballard and Carlisle Counties, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Western Kentucky Chapter of the American Heart Association.
Funds were donated as follows:
- The American Cancer Society, Relay for Life of Ballard and Carlisle Counties, which provides cancer research and patient services, received a check in the amount of $8,080.00.
- Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which provides treatment and research for pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases, received a check in the amount of $14,485.00.
- The Western Kentucky Chapter of the American Heart Association, which provides cardiac care to reduce disability and deaths caused by heart disease and stroke, received a check in the amount of $2,578.00.
“Ingevity has partnered with some of these organizations for almost 20 years,” stated Carol Steele, administrative assistant, Ingevity. “We’re passionate about giving back to our community and want to help whenever we can.”
Kathe Aydlotte, Relay for Life of Ballard and Carlisle Counties event chairperson, stated, “We’re thrilled to say the check from Ingevity put us in a position to reach and surpass our fundraising goal. Thanks to Ingevity’s generous donation, we’re a couple of thousand dollars over our mark. It’s all about a community that comes together. We certainly did this year!”
Ingevity employees plan to continue their relationship with these nonprofit organizations in the future, while seeking opportunities for additional giving throughout the year.
