Ingevity donates over $14,000 to United Way of Paducah-McCracken County

WICKLIFFE, Ky., Dec. 7, 2016 – Ingevity today presented checks totaling $14,553 to the United Way of Paducah-McCracken County. This donation will help the United Way improve lives through a defined focus on education, income and health in the community.

“We greatly appreciate the generosity of Ingevity and their commitment to positively impact individual lives in Paducah-McCracken County,” said Monique Zuber, executive director, United Way of Paducah-McCracken County. “This donation will go toward improving conditions in education, income and health – the three basic building blocks to a good life. Without this support we would not be able to provide much needed services throughout our community. Thanks to Ingevity for truly understanding what it means to LIVE UNITED!”

United Way of Paducah-McCracken County works with partner agencies in the area to inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow. By removing obstacles that prevent hardworking individuals and families from getting ahead financially, improving an individual’s education, and helping community members gain access to affordable, quality health care, the organization creates long lasting change. A few programs benefitting from Ingevity’s donation are:

  • Child Watch Counseling and Advocacy Center, Inc., which provides children and families in western Ky., with education, advocacy, and treatment that prevents child abuse, encourages family stability, promotes healthy relationships, enhances individual well-being, and cultivates safe, nurturing families.
  • Paducah/McCracken County Senior Center, which provides senior citizens with a wide variety of social, educational, health, and recreational activities and programs to promote the positive aspects of aging to them, their families, and the community at large.
  • Paducah Day Nursery-Scholar House, which provides top quality childcare with a focus on education and development of children, as well as the education of parents.
  • St. Nicholas Family Clinic Foundation, which provides quality healthcare to working adults who do not have the financial resources necessary to pay for private insurance and/or medical care.
