Ingevity awards scholarships to 30 high school seniors

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C., June 12, 2018 – Ingevity recently awarded $1,000 college scholarships to 30 high school seniors in Covington, Virginia; Crossett, Arkansas; DeRidder, Louisiana; North Charleston, South Carolina; Waynesboro, Georgia; and Wickliffe, Kentucky. Scholarships were awarded to students who demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities and a commitment to making a positive impact in their school and community.
Of the scholarships awarded, 23 were awarded to students entering four-year colleges or universities with a science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) related field of study. Seven scholarships were awarded to students who plan to enter technical colleges.

Scholarship recipients in Covington, DeRidder and Wickliffe were recognized during award ceremonies at their schools. Recipients in North Charleston were invited to the Ingevity headquarters building for a company overview with Michael Wilson, followed by lab tours. In Waynesboro, recipients have been invited to a special luncheon followed by a tour of the facility on July 10.
