Diacid 1550's dual-acid functionality gives the formulation's molecules a higher affinity to metal surfaces, creating a protective barrier across various metal alloys, and inhibiting corrosion and staining. Adding Diacid 1550 to your package will expand the performance of corrosion inhibition all while not staining aluminum.

Aluminum protection
Diacid 1550 shows consistently effective corrosion inhibition with a variety of different amines. The above Al7075 stain test was conducted to show the differences between Diacid 1550, sebacic acid and a short chain diacid.
Cast Iron Chip performance
These cast iron chip test results were obtained from a single semi-synthetic MWF formulation. Each formulation is different, and other formulations may demonstrate different performance. Diacid 1550 was neutralized with triethanolamine and the test used was ASTM D4627-87.
