Out & About: Habitat for Humanity

The team here at MWV Asphalt Innovations has been getting out and about lately. Two weeks ago the ladies helped out with Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build 2011. Underwritten by Lowe’s, Women Build brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide. Women Build events have helped to construct more than 1,800 houses. In the days leading up to Mother’s Day, hundreds of female volunteers will pound nails and raise walls at Habitat for Humanity construction sites in all 50 states in recognition of National Women Build Week, April 30-May 8, 2011. Here in Charleston, the Asphalt team learned to hang vinyl siding and cover up a roof quick when rain starts falling.
