It's been hot here in North Charleston, SC….like really hot. Like going to NYC last week where they're talking about the 85 F "scorcher" and thinking it feels like May. Like the radio is running "it's so hot that" jokes. Like it was 96 F and the "RealFeel" temperature was 116 F last week. This morning the Today show said the air temperature in Wichita, KS will reach 108 F.
Paving is hot work. Give your crews a break and lower temperatures behind the screed by 60-90 F.
