CalTrans approves Evotherm

MWV is excited to announce that Evotherm is now a Caltrans-approved warm mix asphalt technology. The approval submittal included an overview of the technology, including how the delivery equipment will meet the State’s Material Plant Quality Program (MPQP) requirements. During Evotherm’s introduction, laboratory and full-scale field experiments have been undertaken to compare its performance to conventional hot-mix asphalt. Field projects highlighted include pilot ones in Caltrans District 1, the I-70 evaluation by Colorado DOT, and research by Virginia Transportation Research Council on SR 143.
