Michael Shukov

Senior Vice President and President, Advanced Polymer Technologies

Michael is senior vice president and president of Ingevity’s Advanced Polymer Technologies business. Prior to joining Ingevity in 2025, Michael served as managing director, EMEA, for the PPG Industrial Coatings business unit of PPG Industries, a global producer of advanced coatings, paints and specialty materials for industrial markets, until 2023. In this role he integrated multiple acquisitions and drove the strategic penetration of higher margin markets. During his more than eight years at PPG Industries, Michael held roles of increasing responsibility, including as managing director at PPG Russia, where he scaled world class manufacturing investments. Michael is an accomplished specialty chemicals executive with over 25 years of international experience transforming business profitability and driving growth in new markets at global companies. Earlier in his career, he held roles at various global specialty chemicals companies throughout EMEA, including Russia, including Solvay Group, Dow Chemical Company and Rohm and Hass. Michael holds a Master of Arts in modern languages from the University of Oxford, and a Master of Business Administration from the London Business School.
