Ingevity’s Monica Ford named to Tribology & Lubrication Technology’s 2018 Editorial Advisory Board

PRESS RELEASE

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C., April 26, 2017 – Ingevity’s Monica Ford, Ph.D., senior surface scientist, lubricants and metalworking fluid additives, has been selected to serve as a technical editor in 2018 for Tribology & Lubrication Technology (TLT), the official monthly magazine published by the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE).

This is the second consecutive year that Ford has been selected as a TLT technical editor. In this role, she will contribute content to TLT and connect the publication’s editors and writers with various industry experts. Ford has worked for Ingevity for almost two years, supporting technical efforts for the lubricants market. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in chemical engineering from Tuskegee University and a Doctor of Philosophy in chemical engineering from the University of Florida.

“We had four times more applicants than editor positions to fill,” said Evan Zabawski, senior technical advisor, TestOil, and volunteer TLT editor who led the selection process. “The review was rigorous, and making the final choices was an extremely difficult task. Our selection was based entirely on technical knowledge, years of experience and sterling reputation within the lubricants industry. Monica’s background makes her the perfect candidate for this role.”

STLE is a non-profit technical society dedicated to advancing the science of tribology and best practices in lubrication engineering. The international organization serves an audience of approximately 15,000 lubrication professionals from its headquarters in Park Ridge, Illinois.
