Overview

Emulsions are useful for extending the life of your metalworking fluid. With metalworking processes becoming more demanding, there's a greater need for coolants. Co-emulsifiers help bring oil and water together so you can experience the benefits of oil for lubrication and water for cooling. Ingevity's co-emulsifiers help bind oil in the water, further stabilizing the emulsion. Our distilled tall oil (DTO) provides excellent co-emulsification with much lower foam while our gold standard, multifaceted, Diacid 1550, tightens your emulsions.

Products

Distilled tall oil (DTO) A pine chemistry-based co-emulsifier that is stable at room temperature and contains beneficial properties of tall oil fatty acid (TOFA) (lubricity) and rosin (foam reduction) all in one. 

Altapyne M-15 A tall oil fatty acid-based (TOFA-based) co-emulsifier with an ideal molecular structure for derivatization that creates specialty additives. (15% rosin content)

Altapyne M-28B A tall oil fatty acid-based (TOFA-based) co-emulsifier with an ideal molecular structure for derivatization that creates specialty additives. (~28% rosin content)

Altapyne M-38 A tall oil fatty acid-based (TOFA-based) co-emulsifier with an ideal molecular structure for derivatization that creates specialty additives. (~38% rosin content)

Altapyne M-50B A tall oil fatty acid-based (TOFA-based) co-emulsifier with an ideal molecular structure for derivatization that creates specialty additives. (~50% rosin content)

Diacid 1550 A multifaceted dicarboxylic acid (diacid) that is ideal for co-emulsification, corrosion inhibition and lubrication in soluble, semisynthetic and synthetic oils. 

Altapyne BD 25/30 (Available only in Europe) A tall oil fatty acid-based (TOFA-based) co-emulsifier with an ideal molecular structure for derivatization that creates specialty additives. (~28% rosin content)

Altapyne 226 (Available only in Canada and South America) A tall oil fatty acid-based (TOFA-based) co-emulsifier with an ideal molecular structure for derivatization that creates specialty additives. (~26% rosin content)
