Meet Tamkio

I started my Ingevity career in customer service. Since then, I’ve been team lead, manager and now, director. These days, I spend the majority of my time working with my team leads, developing standardized customer service and logistics processes and procedures that grow as our company grows. I interview potential candidates, and lately, I’ve met with team leads in our China and Europe offices to ensure that our processes are globally aligned, regionally owned and locally executed.

Part of my job is helping people find their career path – which can be challenging when they don’t know what the next step should be, but it’s also incredibly inspiring to help someone come into their own.

Helping people extends to the rest of my life, too. As a company, we work with our local United Way. I’m also part of the Buddy Program here at Ingevity. I mentor at my church and am a member of both the Women’s Network and the Charleston Women in International Trade. When I’m not working, traveling or volunteering, it’s all about family time.
